KIRAX'S REFLEX TECHNOLOGY, a private company, provides services, does fundamental and applied research and develops products. The scope of its work relates to functional health in sports, sports medicine and industry. KIRAX's main objective is to offer services and products aimed at optimising physical performance while preventing articular and musculo-skeleton dysfunction.

History : The beginning of KIRAX

In 1990, Dr André Brossard, a chiropractor specialising in sport medicine, researched the physical well-being of amputees who experience « phantom » pain syndrome. He discovered that he could modify the continuous exchange of motor and sensory reflexes information between the spinal cord and the brain (vertebral subluxation complexes), and thus quite positively influence their physical well-being. Further studies at the UQAM in Québec, Canada with many athletes* found that reflex stimulation (on the dominant side: right or left) at wrist, ankle and lower back (spinal cord) area could also increase strength by 3.4% and endurance by 3.7% It could also improve VO2max (4.4%) and induce faster recovery after injury. Over a period of time, the body benefits from increased functional health capacities, from more available energy and then produces more performance and overall well-being. Various applications for reflex stimulation in the medical, industrial and sport fields, have allowed Dr. Brossard to be granted many world-wide patents for what is now known as: The KIRAX neuro-facilitator.

Worldwide expansion

In 2001, KIRAX neuro-facilitator was introduced to winter sport products in snowboard and ski gloves from leading European brand LEVEL gloves. The LEVEL gloves are currently distributed throughout Europe, Asia and North America.

In 2002, a new business partnership with BENIX introduced a complete new collection of products with the integrated KIRAX neuro-facilitator. Targeted at athletes, amateurs and active lifestyle people, the collection features Multi-sport Wrist and Golf Sport Wrist, Multi-Sport and Golf underwear, Bike Gloves and Technical Underwear. The collection is marketed under the BENIX brand and is available throughout Europe, Canada and Asia.
